Beach bag: TRUMPET BY MEISTER

Dear Stradi Girls and Boys !

Summy and I went to Biarritz a couple days to enjoy the sun and the beach. Our dear Vanessa from TRUMPET BY MEISTER sent us some pretty beach bags that we used every day. We love the colors, the fabric and the pattern. Vanessa is doing some AMAZING bags and other stuff. You HAVE to visit her website or her FACEBOOK page. We love so much her work, it is so festive and beautiful ! I met her at the Showroom Edelweiss last year, and I immediately felt in love with her. She's living between Switzerland and India, where she makes her creations. I hope so much to meet her again, maybe at the Showroom Edelweiss 2013 :)

Moodboard - Neon Love

It's summer, so of course, it's the right time to wear those neon items that we love so much !
We're obessing over neon leather bags and princess dresses just like these two below from Persun.fr
which look just perfect, yet simple and easy with elegant sparkles. The purple is the "Robe simple violette" and
the pink one is "Robe chic soirée". The lenght is great, it with make you look taller, and if you like bandeau dresses,
you will love the sparkling belt that accentuates your waistline on the purple number.
Also, if you prefer not to show too much of your shoulders, you will love
the glittering shoulder pads that really are princess-y !
We love the fact that the dresses have zips on the back, it's always better to slip in and nice detail ;-)

GENERATION T

My most favorite fashion pieces ever are definitely t-shirts. Ever since I started to choose my own clothes, I always tend to gravitate to the t-shirt section even though I really don't need another one. But I guess t-shirts are my staples as jeans are for others.

As a child, our parents made us draw on our t-shirts to make them our own, I remember having a neon turtle one which was fantastic and I can't help it : I kept it. We never know. My kids could love this vintage tee, right ? Also, whenever my dad wanted to clean his wardrobe, he would give us the t-shirts because he's also a tee-addict. That's how I got this awesome NYC taxi one which is embellished with big gems. It's so cool and I will never throw it away ! So, that's why I wanted to create this short video, to pay a tribute to my love of T-shirts. I also discovered that t-shirts are a whole world of fanciness and genius. The most simple garnment (white cotton, thread) can be altered infinitely. The t-shirt really is a medium. You can express yourself, show your love or invite to rebel. It can be a piece of art with unlimited tools to embellish it. Seriously, I'm so proud to call myself in this Generation T thing. With my three-digits collection, I guess I'm a great member ;-) I had to choose not to show all my tshirts otherwise this video would have been endless !

There are a lot of DIY t-shirts that I made over the years, and the video starts with my very first one : an homage to having my life on a t-shirt. I have to admit I let myself go a little bit too much on this one... Everything about this t-shirt I love, even though it's really ridiculous. "I'm so cool I even wanna be me" on the collar, well, yes that's true ;-) The magical princess crown day on my birthday, I can't even imagine how this went in my head, but this is such part of my life that I can only cherish it.

Do you love T-shirts like we do ? What kind of tee do you like ? What's your most crazy t-shirt ?
Do you DIY your own tshirts ? What stuff do you use ? Pencils, paint, printing ? We want to know !!!

Summer Nights

Summer nights bring me happiness ! I've finally been able to wear this brand new C&A white dress,
I loved the lacey part and the cut-outs on the back (and also the tiny price !).
I paired it with an H&M leather belt, a suede fringe bag (from a Paris market) and my La Stage espadrilles :)

hands down, got the best flow.

Hello Stradi Girls and Boys !

Here is a new outfit. Okay it's summer but the weather is SO NOT cool with us to change that way everyday. I'm wearing a burgundy leather jacket that my father owned when he was young. I stole it to him, I loved it too much ! The jacket has so many holes but it doesn't matter. I'm wearing casual black top and leggings, some Air Force 1 ( Nike ) and a stiped plastic clutch that comes from ZARA.

Today, Summy and I are leaving for Biarritz to do some surf and hippie stuff hihi ! We won't be able to post for a week, please excuse us. But we will do a ton of photos and we will bring you back the sun, ocean and sand ☺

RECIPES - Mojito

If there's one cocktail we love during summer, it's the famous mojito of course !
Tasty, sweet and a little bit sour, we also find it refreshing and fun to make so just go through
our step-by-step to learn how to make your very own Mojito !

For one serving (1 glass), you'll need :
  • 45 ml (1 1/2 oz) of White Rhum (we used Bacardi)
  • 60 ml (2 oz) of club soda or Sprite
  • 10 leaves of fresh mint
  • 1 lime and 1 lemon cut into quaters
  • 2 tsp. cane sugar
  • Ice cubes
Step 1 -Put the sugar at the bottom of your glass. You can also replace the sugar by
cane syrup or any other syrup you'd like, imagine the possibilities !
Step 2 - Then, add the mint leaves, lemons and limes. Make sure to clean them with water
before because they are often treated with bad chemical stuff ! Crush them using a muddler.
This will help make the sugar cane melt faster and liberates the fruity lemon juice.
Also, it will enhance the mint's taste.
Step 3 - Now you can add the white rhum !
Step 4 - Fill the rest with your club soda
Step 5 - Don't forget to add some tiny ice cubes, it will only make your drink better !

Have fun and don't forget to drink in moderation ;-)
